In light of the ever-evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Council is implementing some changes to the meeting procedures at March’s Ordinary Meeting of Council.
In the interest of our community’s health and safety, until further notice, Council and Committee meetings will proceed without members of the public present.
Furthermore, noting the Department of Health’s advice pertaining to physical distancing, meetings will not exceed two (2) hours in duration.
In relation to Public Question Time at Ordinary Meetings:
All questions and responses will be read out – that is, those possible to be read within the allotted 15 minutes ordinarily set aside for Public Question Time. All questions and responses will be recorded in the minutes of the meeting.In relation to Requests to be Heard at both Council and Committee meetings:
Where a person has formally made a submission in relation to an item on the agenda, the submission will be provided to all councillors in advance of the meeting. A member of Council staff will advise the meeting of the number of submissions received to a particular item only. The submissions will not be read out at the meeting. The names of the submitters will be recorded in the minutes of the meeting.Please follow the links below to make a submission for a Request to be Heard or submit a question for Public Question Time. As with the existing procedure, submissions must be made by 11am on the day of the meeting.
