Council has received a planning permit application for the use and development of the land for a waste to energy facility at 70 Ordish Road in Dandenong South. This application has now been appealed to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT). As such, VCAT are now responsible for this matter, however prior to the VCAT hearing, Council must establish its position on the application (either to support or object to the proposal).
Prior to Council establishing its position for the upcoming appeal, Council has initiated an informal process to provide the community with an opportunity to make submissions in respect to the proposal.
Council is seeking community feedback on the following:
Do you support the proposed waste to energy facility at 70 Ordish Road, Dandenong South? Do you wish to provide a written submission supporting your position? If so, please provide this submission with your response.Please note, any submission received in relation to this informal process is for Council’s consideration only and will not give rise to a right to appeal to VCAT or participate in the VCAT process.

Any person who may be affected by the proposal may make a written submission to Council, which will be considered prior to Council making a decision.
