Hands up for community grants
Blue Mountains 8 Apr 2020

Blue Mountains City Council is once again calling for applications for its annual Community Assistance Program to help local community-based organisations and not-for-profits provide a diverse range of activities and services to local residents.

The 2020 Program will equip successful applicants with funds to support the delivery of locally run services that improve the quality of life and wellbeing of the local community.

In 2019, 48 not-for-profit community organisations received grants totalling almost $52,000. Successful projects included outreach services, support for the elderly and vulnerable, inclusive community groups, wellbeing initiatives and support for sports and kindergartens.

Blue Mountains Mayor, Cr Mark Greenhill, said: “In supporting community groups with funding through the Community Assistance Program, we recognise the important contribution they make in improving the quality of life and wellbeing of the Blue Mountains community.

“These grants directly improve the capacity of these groups to provide a diverse range of activities and services to local residents.”

The 2020 Community Assistance Program applications open Wednesday 8 April 2020 and close 5pm on 6 May.

Application forms and Grant Guidelines can be downloaded on Council's grants webpage. Once completed, return them to [email protected] or Locked Bag 1005, Katoomba 2780.
