Indyreads – Bringing the World’s Literature to You

Ahead of Easter, Coffs Harbour City Council is proud to launch Indyreads, a book-lover’s library wonderland to help get you and your family through these social distancing times.  The online wonderland features over 10,000 e-Book and e-Audio titles by independent publishers.

“Indyreads is a fantastic place to explore and give your imagination a holiday. It includes Australian and international content, modern award winners, classics, a CSIRO science library, self-published materials and items in languages other than English – and it’s entirely free,” said Enzo Accadia, Council’s Section Leader Community Programs.

“It’s also really flexible. You can borrow up to 20 items for 21 days, and have up to 10 reservations – which is exactly what is needed at the moment with people staying at home.”

Indyreads is accessible from Coffs Harbour Libraries website Existing library members can simply login to ‘My Account’ on the Indyreads website and select ‘Coffs Harbour Library’ and then just enter a library card number and password. You can easily become a library member on the Libraries’ website. Alternatively, you can use the Indyreads apps for Apple or Android.

Indyreads is the latest e-book or e-audio platform available via the Coffs Harbour Libraries website. Also online are BorrowBox, cloudLibrary, and RBdigital.

“The library may be closed but you can still access all your favourite latest release titles through our e-collections,” added Mr Accadia. “We’ve just added over 100 e-books to our cloudLibrary collection including titles by authors such as David Baldacci, Lynda La Plante, Hilary Mantel, Fleur McDonald plus many more.

“The new Disney e-Audiobook collection is a kid’s paradise and available through the BorrowBox app. There are 66 different titles available including Frozen, Aladdin, Star Wars and Marvel. Download the BorrowBox app and login using your library details to start enjoying them now.”
