Cardinia Shire Council’s waste services continue with some changes

The kerbside bin collections continue as normal and bin collection days have not changed.

Due to staggered collection shifts at this time, bins may be collected earlier in the day than usual. To ensure bins are collected, residents are reminded to put the bins out the night before their collection day. Please do not place bins behind parked cars or park in front of bins.

The upcoming hard and bundled green waste collections are continuing as planned.

There is no change to the schedule and collections will run zone-by-zone from Monday 20 April to Friday 22 May.

Collection staff will be following COVID-19 guidelines and wearing extra protective equipment to ensure a safe service is provided. To reduce risk to community and staff, residents are urged to follow the 1.5 metre physical distancing guidelines if they are outside their homes when the collection staff arrive.

The waste brochure recently issued to all Cardinia Shire residents includes information about the waste services and events available to residents throughout April and May 2020. Unfortunately, since the time of printing and distribution, some of the information in this brochure has changed.

The Detox Your Home and drumMUSTER events for Saturday 18 April 2020 have been cancelled until further notice.

Residents should note that all information in the brochure regarding kerbside bin collection and the hard and bundled green waste collections remains correct.
