Move at home with Active April
City of Wodonga 14 Apr 2020

It's not too late to join the Premier’s Active April challenge.

Active April is providing Victorians with tools to help them move at home and virtually connect with others.

As a participant, you can log your daily activity and track your progress with the Activity Timer on the mobile or web App.

This year, the all-new Fitbit integration makes it even easier to track your activity throughout April.

You can also create and join virtual teams, compare the progress of team members, and keep motivated.

Plus, you can earn virtual trophies – unlock more trophies by sharing your achievements on social media, referring a friend or creating or joining virtual teams.

While self-isolation measures are necessary, our bodies and minds still need exercise to function well, prevent weight gain and help with our mental wellbeing during these challenging times.

Remember to take a regular break from continuous sitting in front of your computer, tablet, or smartphone every 20 to 30 minutes.

For example, you could take a few minutes break to walk around the house, take some fresh air on the balcony, in the garden or yard, or play with your dog.

Alternate periods of standing while working/studying with sitting.

Get moving to music -  turn up the volume of your music a little higher and transform your lounge or kitchen into a little dance hall every now and again.
