Hampton Scouts are living their motto to ‘help other people’ by emptying their Scout Hall pantry and donating the contents to BayCISS. Bayside Community Information and Support Service (BayCISS) is providing assistance and offering support to vulnerable people who are self isolating and following government advice during COVID-19.
“It may be a while before our youth members can go camping again, so the Scout Hall pantry was emptied and the entire contents, including highly coveted toilet rolls, was donated to BayCISS,” says Scout Leader Jo Downs. “If you are in a position to help them at this time, please do.” How can you help? BayCISS is looking for food donations to help feed residents who are struggling and have little to no access to essential food items and no family support to assist.
The following items will enable them to help stock the shelves of those in need:
Long-life milk Cereals Pasta Rice Canned vegetables Pasta sauces Canned fish BagsFood donations are gratefully accepted at BayCISS, 12 Katoomba Street Hampton East. Please ring the doorbell upon arrival.
