The recent rainfall has replenished the dams to a level where the water can now be used by the town. This brings a welcome reprieve from the expensive carting of water into Fifield which has been in effect since November 2018.
Residents are advised that they may, for a while, receive cloudy water until the dam settles. Council also takes this opportunity to remind residents that the town water supply is non-potable. The water should not be used for drinking, cooking, washing raw foods (such as seafood or salads), making ice, for pets or for cleaning your teeth.
