Dams supplying Fifield water
Lachlan Council News 17 Apr 2020
Dams supplying Fifield water 17 Apr 2020 9:12 AM - Due to the recent rains, Lachlan Shire Council advises Fifield residents that their town water supply has been switched back to its normal water source from Council dams.

The recent rainfall has replenished the dams to a level where the water can now be used by the town. This brings a welcome reprieve from the expensive carting of water into Fifield which has been in effect since November 2018.

Residents are advised that they may, for a while, receive cloudy water until the dam settles. Council also takes this opportunity to remind residents that the town water supply is non-potable. The water should not be used for drinking, cooking, washing raw foods (such as seafood or salads), making ice, for pets or for cleaning your teeth.
