Green waste collection for Tom Price and Paraburdoo residents
Shire of Ashburton 17 Apr 2020

The Shire of Ashburton will commence a green waste collection from Monday 27 April for the residents of Tom Price and Paraburdoo.

Following recent weather events and post cyclone season, the Shire is encouraging community members to take advantage of the opportunity and clean up their gardens, yards and properties.

Items that are suitable for collection include tree loppings, palm fronds, broken branches and fallen trees and shrubs.

Please ensure your material is placed on the verge in the week prior to collection and where possible keep tree pruning waste tied in bundles to no more than 2m long and 500mm in diameter.

Safely stack items in a location that is easily accessible for tractors and bobcats and not on top of water meters, footpaths, taps, Telstra pits and maintain a two metre clearance of green mini pillars (green domes).

Please do not include any other waste in your pile, such as white goods, batteries, gas bottles or other flammable objects.

If you are one of our senior residents or suffer from a disability please contact the Shire’s Administration Support Officer on 9188 4472 for assistance.
