Interruption to Water Supply Service

Council wishes to advise that the water supply in the area of Falnash Street, Portland and residents directly connected to the Fish River Water Supply may experience reduced water pressure or no water whilst emergency works are undertaken on the Fish River Water Supply pipeline between Wallerawang and Portland. WaterNSW has advised works will commence at 8am on Saturday 18 April 2020 and full service may not resume to all effected residents until 8pm on Saturday 18 April 2020.

Upon return of normal service, residents may experience dirty water for a period. WaterNSW and Council will endeavour to minimise this by flushing the mains. Before using the water for domestic purposes, residents are advised to run the first tap that services their property to ensure the water is clean and any dirt released into the system has been flushed before running internal taps. If you continue to experience issues of dirty water, please contact Council.
