Artists and community cultural initiatives have been provided a boost today with the Council endorsing the continuation of the 2019/20 Regional Arts Fund (RADF) program.
The RADF Program is a funded partnership between Arts Queensland (Arts Queensland) and Council investing in the development of quality arts and arts projects in regional communities.
Since August 2019, Council has provided $70,000 in grants through the RADF with a further $82,000 available to be allocated before September 2020.
In response to the coronavirus crisis, Council officers, in consultation with local organisations and individuals, have developed a COVID-19 Risk Assessment to assist them with their applications.
This assessment will be used by the RADF Advisory Committee to make informed recommendations in regard to the feasibility of proposals.
The current RADF Advisory Committee was also reinstated at today’s meeting to act as an independent assessment panel, with the full Council to approve the committee’s recommendations.
