Council applies for road funding

Council will apply for more than $2.5 million in State Government funding for road upgrades.

Funding for seven projects will be made through the Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme (TIDS) program, which applies to significant local government roads.

Council will apply for a total of $2,504,000 in funding for the following projects:

Florence Street / Lake Street intersection upgradeLake Street Lighting upgrade – various sectionsAbbott Street (Florence St – Aplin St) pavement rehabilitationHussey Road pavement rehabilitation - various sectionsRedlynch Intake Road (Short St – Tenni St) – pavement rehabilitationMaitland Road (Quarry – Petersen Rd) – pavement rehabilitationLake Placid Road (CWAR – Quarry entrance) – pavement rehabilitation.
