Temporary road closure

Lachlan Shire Council advises that Aquawest has been contracted to supply and install a pipeline extending from a bore located on MR 231 Wyalong Road to the Tullibigeal Recreation Ground. This is for the purposes of irrigation, with the intention of relieving the burden this has on Tullibigeal’s main water supply.

 Over the coming days, Aquawest will be conducting extensive trenching works which will result in the temporary closure of SR 1302 Sims Road. Residents are advised that they will need to take alternative routes as SR 1302 Sims Road will be unsuitable for traffic during the works.

 Council apologises for any inconvenience caused, however these works are highly critical for the village of Tullibigeal. It is unlikely that the use of the road will be interrupted for any longer than one week.  

 Please refer to the attached map with a recommended alternative route through MR 231 Wyalong Road and SR 1029 Tullibigeal Road.
