Local services #InThisTogether with new pandemic centre

A new ‘one-stop shop’ where the community can obtain advice and support during the current pandemic is now open for business.

The shire-wide Recovery Operations Centre (ROC) is a centralised service where residents can ask for support, request information, offer assistance or put forward recovery ideas and suggestions relating to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Macedon Ranges ROC can be contacted by calling (03) 5422 0237 or emailing [email protected]

The ROC has been established as part of Council’s ongoing #InThisTogether community and business support campaign.

Council officers will link with local agencies to respond to requests for assistance or information or to coordinate and where possible activate offers of assistance from the community.

Mayor, Cr Janet Pearce said the ROC embodies the new #InThisTogether campaign.

“We’re encouraging the community to work with Council, other organisations and each other to ask for, and offer help during these challenging times,” Cr Pearce said.

“The ROC is a necessary innovation from Council and partners as we all continue to adapt and deliver services and programs despite the restrictions in place.

“We update mrsc.vic.gov.au/coronavirus daily, but encourage you to contact the ROC if you are in need of any type of support or any updates, resources or support services need to be added to the list.”

The ROC initiative aligns directly with the Council Plan theme of working in partnership with the community to protect and enhance life across the Macedon Ranges.
