Council is seeking the community’s help in shaping its library services both now and into the future.
While the COVID-19 Pandemic has resulted in all of Council’s library services being delivered online at the moment we are continuing to work behind the scenes to ensure our libraries deliver what the community wants and needs.
The City of Greater Dandenong currently has two public libraries.
The new Dandenong Library which was officially opened to the public in 2014. This state-of-the art library attracts more than one million visitors each year and is located within the Dandenong Civic Centre. It is spacious and modern with easy access to resources, technology and programs.
The new Springvale Library is currently being built and is due to open to the public this year. It will form part of the new Springvale Community Hub. The new Library will provide access to the latest technology and resources, incorporating quiet zones and collaborative meeting spaces.
