Shire Response and Continued Service Delivery

Shire Administration Building Closure

The building closure will not affect service provision. We are transitioning to a new way of working in order to continue to provide you with essential services and to ensure the health and safety of our community and employees. From 30 March 2020, face to face services will be restricted to essential requests via appointment only. For all URGENT matters please contact CEO Mark Hook on 0429 207 855 to make any necessary appointments

We are pleased to advise the following are alternative ways to do business with us:

Renewal of cat and dog registrations can be completed over the telephone with a credit card or via direct deposit. Please use your surname and pet’s name as the reference. Customer service requests, enquiries and questions can be resolved over the telephone or via email. Rates and other payments can be made over the telephone using a credit card or via direct debit using your invoice number or assessment number as the reference. When paying by direct deposit please also send an email to advise of your payment. Most Department of Transport transactions can be completed online, including driver’s licence renewals and vehicle transfers www.transport.wa.gov.au

Our doors may be closed, but we are continuing to provide you with the best service by continuing to deliver as many services as possible from behind the scenes. Thank you for your understanding during this time.

The Shire continues to monitor and follow advice from the Australian and State Governments and is adapting our response accordingly and as the situation develops. In these uncertain times we are being encouraged to remain alert but not alarmed, sanitise our hands regularly, cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or inner elbow and avoid public places – precautions necessary to ensure the health and wellbeing of our community.

Social Distancing

Social distancing has been implemented internally at the Shire’s Administration Office. Work from home arrangements has been implemented for some staff, while the majority will resume coming into the office next week. Please note however the office will remain closed to the public for isolation purpose. Our work crew will continue to operate as per normal with the social distancing measures currently in place
