With the recent announcement that a gathering of up to 10 persons is permitted a number of national and state sporting associations have issued advice to their members regarding a return to limited participation in their respective sports.
The exception in regards to sporting activity is where no more than 10 persons are participating in an activity which does not ordinarily involve some or all of the participants coming into bodily contact with each other.

Tennis Lawn bowls Golf Cricket ArcheryIt also includes codes of football, basketball, hockey and netball where the activity does not ordinarily involve bodily contact with examples being a modified activity such as kick to kick football or where the activity is conducted to ensure that bodily contact does not ordinarily occur. All subject to having no more than 10 persons and that there be at least 4 square metres of space for each person at the gathering.
Still subject to remaining closed for the purposes of sport and recreation, include;
Gymnasiums, indoor sporting centre, recreation or community centre, a play centre, whether indoors or outdoors, health club, fitness centre, swimming pool, museum, historic site, library, playground, skate park or any local government facility which is not essential to the continuing function of the local government.
