Armidale Regional Library members now have access to a huge online collection of independent Australian and international titles novels, classic literature and modern, award-winning titles.

The Library is now providing members access to Indyreads, a state-wide collection of eBook and eAudio resources.

Armidale Regional Council Mayor Simon Murray said the expansion of the library’s online resources is “crucial during the pandemic we are currently experiencing”.

“It opens avenues for community members to engage with the library and access resources to be informed, connected and entertained, particularly at a time when we’re all required to stay at home,” Councillor Murray said.

Indyreads is accessible to members on computer, tablet or smartphone. Simply download the app or visit Council’s website.

To register for the service, members are required to select ‘Armidale Regional Council Library’ and input their library card membership number and pin (the pin is the password used to access your membership in the library online catalogue). If you have trouble registering for these services, email or phone Library staff for assistance.

The loan period is 21 days and items can be renewed if there are no reservations. Items can also be returned early via the app.  The maximum number of items per borrower card is 20.
