ATCO - Fremantle pipes replacement project

ATCO is upgrading the natural gas distribution network in Fremantle, as part of its proactive replacement program. The gas pipes in Fremantle are approximately 80 years old, nearing the end of their service life and need to be upgraded to reduce maintenance and service reliability issues.

Work will be conducted in stages, from May until November 2020.

Water Corporation is replacing the old, worn pipes in Fremantle’s water network. Some sections of the network are over 100 years old and starting to show wear and tear. This work is essential in order to avoid future bursts and leaks.

Construction work is scheduled to commence on Tuesday 19 May 2020, with all streets to be completed by November 2020.

Water Corporation - 2020 drainage renewal

Water Corporation is replacing storm water drainage in Fremantle. This will improve the capacity of the drainage to store and convey storm water, which will prevent flooding and damage to infrastructure in the future.

Drainage will be renewed on Cliff and Phillimore Streets, with construction works taking place between May and August 2020. The estimated date of completion is 10 September 2020.
