Highett Neighbourhood House supports students
Bayside City Council 21 May 2020

Highett Neighbourhood Community House has been busy supporting the Bayside community.

Last week, the staff at Highett Neighbourhood Community House cooked and delivered over 60 delicious home-cooked meals for international students from Holmesglen Tafe with plans to increase to 100 meals in the upcoming weeks.

Staff have also been delivering fresh vegetables and bread each week to seniors living in local public housing estates.

During COVID-19, we have seen countless ways that Bayside residents have stayed connected. From chalk drawings, bear hunts, writing letters to each other and supporting local businesses, Bayside is truly stronger together.

Want to help people stay connected? Bayside is currently looking for local not-for-profit groups that contribute to making Bayside a better place to live to apply for a Community Grant.
