Mareeba Shire Council wishes to advise residents that Council Officers will be conducting controlled burns in the following locations:

Chillagoe – Various locations in the township (Monday 25 – Wednesday 27 May 2020)

Dimbulah – Caravan Park (Thursday 28 May 2020)

Mareeba – Various locations (May/June 2020)

Granite Creek Area Mareeba Industrial Park Pioneer Cemetery Wyandra Estate

The planned hazard reduction burns will reduce the fuel loads and help to protect life and property during the wildfire season. It is advisable to remove any clothing from clotheslines during this operation.
