Fire ban this weekend

Please be advised that a fire ban has been announced for the Shire of Harvey due to the impending and unpredictable weather on the weekend.

The following details apply:

As of midnight tonight Friday, 22 May 2020 until 12 noon Monday 25 May 2020, inclusive, there is a total fire ban for the whole of the District of the Shire of Harvey.

Activities not permitted during the above prohibited period: 

·         Burning of garden refuse, pasture, piles, rubbish or bush

·         Use of fire pits or campfires;

·         Use of cooking fires or wood and coal-fuelled barbecues.

Activities permitted during the above prohibited period: 

·         Use of indoor wood heaters.
