Blackall combined agents had a reduced yarding of 2433 head due to rain.

The market followed the dearer trend of other selling centres with fat and feeder cattle being particularly sought after.

Store cattle were also very strong with good local and interstate buyer support evident.

The yarding consisted of cattle drawn from the Blackall, Tambo, Aramac, Isisford, Longreach, Charleville, Alice Springs, Cloncurry and Julie Creek districts.

Bulls under 450kg sold to 332c, average 313c, and bulls over 450kg made 334c, average 312c.

Cows 300-400kg sold to 253c, average 242c, cows 400-500kg made 289c, average 261c, and cows over 500kg reached 306c, to average 291c.
