Council helps businesses to connect and grow

Published on 21 May 2020

In a changing world where it is becoming more difficult for businesses to stay connected to others in the business community, Council is here to help through the virtual Regional Growth Summit.

The virtual summit aims to improve engagement, create resilience and develop lasting economic strength for businesses in regional Australia.

Council has purchased a licence which will provide free access for all businesses in the shire to two national events being held in May and September. The licence includes additional benefits including access to the Regional Growth Facebook community, regular webinars designed to engage and support businesses and resources on the Regional Growth Digital Hub site.

Director Planning and Environment, Angela Hughes said the first virtual summit would take place on 27 May.

“If you are curious about the benefits of going digital, take the opportunity to hear about key technologies that will help you be more efficient and support you to grow your business,” Ms Hughes said.

“During the summit you will hear from leading technology companies, such as Canva, HubSpot, Xero, and Shopify on how you can use their technology to help your business.

“Be inspired to make small changes for maximum impact for your business.”
