Ahead of Monday’s much-anticipated reopening of Mosman’s beloved Barry O’Keefe Library, our librarians are hard at work ensuring suitable public health measures are in place and our precious books and other library resources are in order for its limited opening hours each day.
Some of our gallery staff are also returning to work to prepare to open the doors of Mosman Art Gallery for exhibition viewings for limited hours Tuesdays to Saturdays from 9 June.
It is hoped these will be the first of several reopenings in coming weeks with older and younger community members no doubt respectively eagerly awaiting a return to Mosman Square Seniors Centre and the Youth Centre once greenlighted by the NSW Government.
In the meantime, our Community Care staff have developed an online directory of support options for elderly and more vulnerable residents during these uncertain times.
Rest assured with the co-ordinated, gradual reopening of our community services, Council will take every possible precaution to make our services and facilities COVID-safe places. In this changing and dynamic environment I want to thank all Mosman residents and local business owners for continuing to fully comply with strict spacing, physical distancing and hand hygiene rules.
