Digital opportunities roadshow

Small business owners wanting to learn about how to make the most of the digital economy are encouraged to participate in a free online workshop.

Supported by Business Victoria and the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Digital Opportunities Roadshow – occurring on Monday, 1 June from 9am - will assist small businesses in developing a fit for purpose online presence and identify online goals.

“This event was scheduled to be held at Cohuna, but due to social distancing measures in place to stop the spread of Coronavirus, this workshop will occur online,” Mayor Lorraine Learmonth said.

“With many small businesses turning to the internet to connect with customers during the Coronavirus pandemic, this workshop will provide timely advice that can be implemented now and into the future.”

Open to Gannawarra Shire-based business owners, the two-hour workshop will assist small business owners develop digital skills across a range of areas including:

Developing an online presence; Understanding and using digital tools; and Managing cyber security and safety plans.

“Council thanks Business Victoria and VCCI for committing to host this workshop, especially during the Coronavirus pandemic,” Mayor Learmonth said.
