We are looking for two qualified and experienced members of our community to join Blue Mountains City Council’s Audit and Risk Committee.
The Audit and Risk Committee provides independent assurance and assistance to the Council regarding financial management, risk management, internal controls, legislative compliance, internal and external audit planning and reporting.
The Committee is comprised of three members; two external members and one Councillor. One successful applicant from the community would take up the role of the Chair of the committee.
Meetings are held four times a year in February, May, August and November. The new members would be appointed and inducted prior to the August 2020 meeting.
The appointment of externals member will be made by Council for an interim period of up to 12 months with possible extension, pending the release of the new Risk Management and Internal Audit Frameworks by the Office of Local Government, NSW.
