Shire of Harvey CEO Annie Riordan, Brunswick River Cottages Chairman Ken Hart, Minister for Regional Development Alannah MacTiernan, Shire of Harvey President Paul Gillett and Member for Murray-Wellington Robyn Clarke on site on Thursday to view the cottages.
Eight independent living units in Brunswick Junction have been completed this week and residents will start moving in next week. This is a credit to the motivation of the Brunswick River Cottages Committee who have had the foresight and commitment to get this project off the ground. These units will allow residents to downsize while remaining in their town and connected to their community. Regional Development Minister Alannah MacTiernan visited the completed units on Thursday and said it’s important for people to continue living close to their home. The project was funded by the Brunswick River Cottages Committee, State Government Regional Aged Accommodation Program and the Shire of Harvey.
