Following a knockout premiere edition of Liverpool City Council's innovative digital live music event, #LoveLivo Live is back for another instalment this week.

With COVID-19 putting Council's packed live event schedule on hold, the much-loved Live and Loud youth event held in the Liverpool City Library forecourt on the last Thursday of every month has been postponed indefinitely.

“#LoveLivo Live is a fantastic solution to reach even more people and ensures we can continue to showcase the outstanding talents of local musicians, while also reminding the community to put their purchasing power to work at home,” Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said.

“Each instalment features a range of Western Sydney artists performing original works live in their homes, with the event hosted by a young local MC and streamed on Council's Facebook page from 4pm on the last Thursday of the month.

“Besides being a hugely entertaining performance, the event provides the artists and MC an opportunity to remind the audience that local business is the heart of our community and ordering in is one way to help keep it beating strong.”

This month's show features soulful singer-songwriter Bek Ferro, rapper LiCon and R’n’B soul singer Kealoana, with Youth Councillor Vishal Senthilkumar as MC. It will be streamed live on the Liverpool City Council Facebook page from 4pm on Thursday 28 May.

“#LoveLivo Live is a great example of Liverpool City Council's ongoing commitments to showcasing our vibrant creative community, engaging our youth and reminding everyone of how important local business is to all of us,” Mayor Waller said.

“I'd like to remind local businesses to sign up to our online directory to let the world know they are still open and encourage the Liverpool community to shop local, leave positive reviews of businesses online and encourage others to do the same by sharing snaps of your purchases on social media using the hashtag #LoveLivo.”
