Last week, the NSW Government announced that Public Libraries can reopen from 1 June. However, there are still tight restrictions that must be adhered to in order to comply with the Public Health Order 2020.
The reopening of the Yass Valley Library will be done in stages. There will also be strict conditions of entry into the library at each stage. We ask that you are patient with us and the new processes, as they are essential in allowing us to be allowed to open to the public again.
We have been working hard behind the scenes to put plans in place to offer a service that will be able to ensure social distancing, restrictions and guidelines are all adhered to.
Stage 1We have decided to delay Stage 1 of the reopening of the Library until Tuesday, 9 June, in order to make sure we have everything in place to offer a safe and compliant community service.
Please note that Stage 1 will mean that when we do open it will be in a limited capacity and with a limited service.
