Council Meeting Snapshot - Wednesday 27 May 2020

To keep our community up to date with key Council decisions, outcomes and plans; here is a snapshot summary from Council’s Wednesday 27 May 2020 ordinary meeting.

Vibrant communities Council deferred the Development Contribution Plan (DCP) Implementation Policy to a time where it aligns with the DCP Review. Council adopted the Recreation Reserve maintenance Allocation Matrix, considered its implementation, agreed to distribute and apportion the maintenance allocations subject to to approval of funding in the 2020/21 financial year budget and thanked the stakeholders for providing feedback. Council noted the investigation undertaken in response to the petition received by Council requesting a different location of the Warragul Taxi Rank and discussed the preferred location at the north side of Napier Street. Council adopted an alternate recommendation to approve application PLR0164/20 and to grant written consent to construct an outbuilding outside the nominated building envelope at 1/3 Lindenell Drive, Drouin. The next Council meeting will be from 5.30pm on Wednesday 10 June 2020 at the West Gippsland Arts Centre. Due to government restrictions imposed by the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), community members are not permitted to attend, however everyone is welcome tune into the live stream from home.
