Media Release - 5 June 2020
The Campbelltown Civic Centre customer service area and Animal Care Facility (ACF) will reopen to the public on Tuesday 9 June with restrictions in place to ensure the health and safety of staff and community members.
The Civic Centre customer service area will be open from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
The ACF will be open from 10am to 4.30pm and with no more than four customers allowed in both the ACF office and cattery at any time and no more than 12 people allowed in the kennel area.
To support dog and cat owners, non-mandatory release fees will continue to be waved for impounded animals.
People will be asked to apply hand sanitiser when entering and maintain 1.5 metres distance between each other when visiting facilities.
“We’re thankful for our community’s understanding and diligence in following the advice of health experts during this difficult period,” Mayor George Brticevic said.
“While it’s a great thing that we are able to gradually open our facilities to the public again, it is really important that everyone continues to follow the advice of health authorities to ensure the risk remains minimal,” Cr Brticevic said.
“If you’re able to use our online services then we strongly encourage you to continue doing so where possible,” he said.
All development applications, construction certificates, complying development certificates and subdivision certificate applications will remain an online only service from the NSW Planning Portal.
People are also encouraged to be aware of signposted parking times and other restrictions as Rangers will be progressively resuming their regular duties over the coming weeks.
