North Queensland filmmakers can submit their applications to the annual Understory Film Festival from Monday 15 June.
Now in its seventh year, the film festival aims to showcase local talent, build local industry capacity, and award achievement and audience development in short film culture.
Open to short films of any genre (maximum of 8 minutes), entries range from documentaries and narratives, to experimental film, music videos and animations.
Understory participants will have to comply with current Queensland Government COVID-19 guidelines.
The screening and awards presentation is also being designed to accommodate State Government COVID-19 audience restrictions.
Initially scheduled for Saturday 7 November at CPAC, the date for the festival is yet to be confirmed.
