Bowen Show Holiday moved to Friday 14 August 2020

Whitsunday Regional Council has received advice from Minister for Education and Minister for Industrial Relations, Grace Grace, that the request for the Bowen Show holiday to be moved to Friday, 14 August 2020 has been approved.

The Proserpine (Friday 19 June) and Collinsville (Tuesday 3 November) Show holiday dates remain as already gazetted.

The request to move the Bowen show holiday was to take advantage of the planned Queensland tourism strategy and provide a long weekend for residents and encourage travel within region.
