Fremantle launches COVID-19 business survey

The City of Fremantle has partnered with the Fremantle Chamber of Commerce to seek further feedback from the local business community about the impact of COVID-19.

In response to COVID-19 the City has established an Economic Recovery Working Group to assist in developing an economic recovery plan.

Fremantle Mayor Brad Pettitt said the feedback collected through a new business sentiment survey would help the working group and the Chamber of Commerce understand the challenges being confronted by local businesses as they move into the recovery phase.

“Over the past week it’s been great to see Fremantle coming alive again as the COVID-19 restrictions have eased, with more people in town and more businesses opening up again,” Mayor Pettitt said.

“We want to do everything we can to help local businesses get back on their feet and attract more people to Fremantle to experience the hospitality our city is famous for. 

“Our business sentiment survey asks questions about the impact COVID-19 has had on turnover and staffing arrangements, the things that businesses are focussing on as they recover and what the biggest barriers to recovery are.

“The survey is the opportunity for businesses to provide valuable feedback to the City and the Chamber on their current situation, so I encourage all business owners to take five minutes out of their day to participate.”
