COVID-19 funding

Lotterywest grant funding. The Shire of Harvey would like to acknowledge the support of the State Government through Lotterywest’s COVID-19 Relief Fund for a grant of $66,000. This funding will support community organisations to assist people currently experiencing hardship. Lotterywest has reprioritised its grant funding and made $59 million available to help organisations and not-for-profit organisations that have been impacted by the pandemic. Community Resource Centres in the Shire, the Cookernup Community Association and Aboriginal organisations will reach out to people adversely affected by COVID-19 with food, assistance in reintegrating into the work-force and other engagement programs.

Be Connected grant program. Thanks to a Be Connected grant the libraries now have four iPads to lend out to customers who are feeling isolated. The program supports older Australians to thrive in a digital world. The iPads are set up with programs, and step-by-step instructions to get you started. Staff are always happy to help if you get stuck.
