Isaac Regional Council (IRC) is seeking a highly motivated Manager Operations & Maintenance to join its Water & Waste Directorate for a five (5) year fixed term full time contract, based within the Isaac Region.
The Manager Operations & Maintenance is responsible for reliably and safely delivering on Councils customer service standard commitments to domestic and commercial customers across all IRC water, wastewater and recycled water – storage, treatment and reticulation operations. Additionally, the role is responsible for safety, quality and environmental system implementation as well as operational asset management and regulatory compliance.
Reporting to the Director Water and Waste, this role is a key leadership position within the Directorate to enact applicable content of Council’s Community and Corporate Plans and Annual Performance Plan. There are significant opportunities to expand your knowledge across a broad range of water and wastewater treatment systems whilst leading a diverse team.

About you:We are seeking a strong leader with proven experience working within the Water & Sewage industry. A strategic thinker with the ability to lead change, having a solid understanding of legislation and the ability to manage and interpret a sizable budget. Coupled with tertiary qualifications in engineering, science, environmental management or a related discipline in a similar role within Water & Sewage. You will be comfortable putting in place systems and processes to manage operations across a vast area in multiple towns and using technology to your advantage.
