From 1 July, all homeowners on the Northern Beaches will be required to lodge DAs online via the NSW Planning Portal.
This follows a mandate by the NSW Government for 42 councils in metropolitan Sydney, Newcastle, Central Coast and Illawarra to use the e-Planning Portal from 1 July 2020.
The Planning Portal is accessible via Council’s website and allows customers to submit development applications from anywhere in real-time. Information and data about applications can also be accessed anywhere and anytime.
Over the last few months, Council has been accepting and processing DAs, complying development certificate and post-commencement certificates via the Planning Portal.
Prior to lodging a development application there are a few steps customers are asked to follow. This includes completing a development application form and checklist, council application form and owners consent. All of these documents and instructions are available on Council’s website.
