63543 - Fixed-Term Liveability and Sustainability Administration Officer, Isaac Region

An exciting opportunity exists for a fixed term full or part time (min. 20 hours per week negotiable) Liveability and Sustainability Administration Officer to join our Liveability and Sustainability team for a two (2) month period based in the Isaac Region. Reporting to the Coordinator Liveability and Sustainability, this position provides general and technical administrative support, supporting the land use planning team to achieve compliance with the statutory requirements of relevant Acts and Regulations. The Liveability and Sustainability Department’s purpose is to ensure that Isaac’s future is planned in an integrated and sustainable manner. The department’s planning needs drive and enable strong social, environmental and economic futures for the Region.

ABOUT YOU

Knowledge of land use planning administration, investigations, and reporting processes and procedures. Previous local government or development assessment support experience will be highly regarded. Demonstrated experience in the provision of administrative support and interpersonal dealings in a local government administrative setting, including use of records management programs and word processing software and databases. Progress toward completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, or completion of a Certificate III in Business Administration/Diploma in Local Government will be highly regarded. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. A current C Class Open Australian driver’s licence.​

Salary $31.97 per hour Nominally 36.25 hours per week, or part time arrangement as agreed upon appointment Flexible working arrangements 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading 12% super in accordance with Council policy RDO’s in accordance with Council policy
