Central Highlands Regional Council will issue half-yearly water notices this week, with an extended discount period of 60 days.

The notices will include the water access charge for January to June 2020 and water consumption charges from June 2019 to November 2019.

Mayor Kerry Hayes said the bills were a little later than usual as they are the first water notices to be issued through council’s new corporate software system.

‘We understand these notices are coming out a little later than anticipated and appreciate this may put some of our ratepayers out in terms of their budgeting,’ he said.

The notices will be issued in several batches. Ratepayers are asked to please take note of their respective due date.
