The fourth of Corangamite Shire Council’s new grants programs for small businesses hit by the COVID-19 downturn is now open.
The $50,000 Traditional Advertising Grant Program is part of Council’s package to help restart the local economy.
Manager Growth and Engagement Rory Neeson said businesses could apply for up to $2000 on a $1:$2 basis to advertise with local newspapers and radio stations.
“To be eligible businesses must be located in Corangamite Shire, have a valid ABN and no more than 20 full-time equivalent employees.
“They need to have received funding through a State or Federal COVID-19 program, showing that they have been financially impacted by the pandemic.”
“Businesses that apply to the Small Business Economic Stimulus and Support Programs are still eligible to apply for other Council grant programs, such as the Retail Area Façade Improvement Program and the Small Business Innovation Grant Program.
“Funding will be allocated on a first-in-first-served basis until the $50,000 has all been allotted.”
The program guidelines and an online application form are here.
Mr Neeson encouraged business operators to study the program guidelines on Council’s website and speak to a Council Officer to help prepare their application.
“Call our Economic Development Team on 5593 7100 and they will help you understand the guidelines and what requirements your application will need to meet.”
