Local small enterprises are advised that the NSW Small Business COVID-19 Recovery Grant of $500 up to $3,000 is now available to eligible NSW small business owners and non-profit organisations.
Applications open today (1 July 2020) and close at 11:59 pm Sunday 16 August 2020.
The Grant is designed to assist small businesses and not-for-profits in meeting the costs of safely re-opening or scaling up operations as they may need to make changes to ensure they provide a safe environment for their staff and the public.
The following terms apply:
• Businesses and not-for-profits will be eligible for a one-off grant of between $500 to $3,000 via one application. A customer can make one application only for a grant of between $500 to $3,000 – there is no facility for a customer to ‘top up’ a grant if the maximum amount was not claimed originally;
• The grant can be used to cover expenses such as marketing and advertising, making fit-out changes, training staff to work safely, and to get financial advice;
• This grant can only be used for purchases of eligible expenses made from 1 July 2020, and only where no other government support is available;
• Business must belong to the highly impacted industries list;
• Sole traders can apply for this grant; and
• Customers who have received a COVID-19 small business support grant of up to $10,000 may also be eligible to apply for the $3000 COVID-19 small business recovery grant.
