Help build the case for a revitalised Woodend Community Centre

Published on 02 July 2020

Would you like to help develop the business case and draft master plan for the Woodend Community Centre site?

Consultation on the future of the site, which was initially disrupted by pandemic restrictions, has been reopened so the community can have its say on how it would like to use and access the Woodend Community Centre both now and into the future.

Regional Development Victoria and Council have provided $100,000 to fund the business case and draft master plan development process.

Director Planning and Environment, Angela Hughes encouraged the Woodend community to get involved.

“We’ve had strong community involvement to date, which is terrific,” Ms Hughes said, “This process is about taking the existing work, the results of this survey and best practice technical advice to produce an optimal business case and draft master plan that will help us decide on the centre’s future.

“We need to better understand these needs to produce viable plans for a modern, multi-purpose space that meets the needs of the local community and visitors to the region.”

Provide your feedback and fill out a short survey by 24 July. If you are not able to get online and would like a print copy of the survey, call (03) 5422 0333.

Responses from surveys completed earlier this year have been retained and will contribute to the reopened consultation, so there is no need for residents to repeat the survey.
