Piccolo Farm is a family owned and operated small scale organic farm in Thirlmere. Piccolo Farm means 'small' in Italian. The owners, Lizzie who was raised in Stockholm, Sweden and Gianluigi or “G” as he is known who grew up in Sydney's South West in a half-Italian, half-English family have two children and proudly call Wollondilly home. The couple were relatively new to farming before purchasing their property in Thirlmere, however their childhoods were influenced by gardening and nature.
Piccolo Farm sells edible flowers and a weekly CSA – Community Supported seasonal vegetable boxes which can be picked up from the farm or delivered locally. Piccolo Farm is also participating in a six-part business development program in Wollondilly delivered by Regionality and the Office of the NSW Small Business Commission for land owners seeking to expand their existing agricultural businesses and diversify into the tourism sector.
