Mareeba Shire Council is currently recruiting for a Coordinator Contracts. The successful candidate will provide support to the Manager Technical Services in relation to a variety of group functions. Responsibilities include the coordination of Council’s Project Management and RMPC teams in delivering contracts and projects arising from the capital works program, Department of Transport & Main Roads (DTMR) and other third parties. Oversight and coordination of Council’s civil and structural projects from start to finish, including survey, design, procurement, construction, contract management, reporting and handover to client is the major responsibility of this position.
This Coordinator Contracts will also oversee the day to day operations of the section, providing leadership and support to team members, motivating staff and promoting positive work relations within the section.
Formal qualifications in project management or civil engineering (Bachelor Degree, Associate Degree or similar) is an essential requirement for this role coupled with extensive experience in the project management of a broad range of civil engineering projects.
