Toowoomba Regional Council will be conducting cool, controlled roadside burns on several roads in the Millmerran district for the control of invasive weeds. 

Council will conduct the roadside burns throughout July with the assistance of both Queensland Fire and Emergency Service, and Queensland Rural Fires Service.

The road locations include:

Dooley Road Six Mile Road Bostock Roads/ Grieves Road stock route; and Ted Jurgs Road.

Cool roadside burns assist in the management of invasive biosecurity weeds including Mother of Millions, Harissa Cactus, Tiger Pear, Prickly Pear and juvenile Tree Pear.

Adjoining landholders will be notified of the proposed burns that will take place between July 14 and August 14 2020 (weather permitting).
