Changes To Signage For Regulated Parking Areas Within Bellingen

Bellingen Shire Council has recently undertaken the development of a Parking Management Strategy to improve the current parking situation within the town centres of Dorrigo, Urunga and Bellingen and provide the framework to create a well-connected, accessible and safe town centre that creates social activity and embraces the vibrant, lively nature that current exists in these local towns.

In response to the Parking Management Strategy, Council has recently undertaken works to the regulated parking areas within Bellingen to replace damaged and faded signage to ensure it is visible, legible, and legislatively compliant for residents and visitors alike.

Council will be conducting a review in the Bellingen Town Centre of compliance with regulatory parking signage by the public until Sunday 26 July 2020 and issuing warning advice.  Beyond this date Council will be increasing inspections to ensure compliance with the posted timeframes are enforced and monitor that appropriate turnover of vehicles occurs.
