Is your precious cargo protected?

Two out of three children’s car seats are not being used properly. This alarming statistic means thousands of children are at risk of serious injury or even death if they are involved in a car accident.

To help keep local children safe, our Road Safety Team, in partnership with Transport for NSW, have teamed up with local Authorised Restraint Fitters to provide vouchers for you to have your car seats, harnesses or booster seats checked for safety and fit.

Register online and we'll email you a voucher to book a free appointment at one of two local Transport for NSW authorised fitters. This round of offers closes on Friday 7 August 2020. These vouchers expire on Saturday 8 August 2020.

Vouchers are strictly limited, so get in quick. If you miss out on a voucher this round you can find more information on child restraints and safe installation or find an authorised fitter near you. More free safety checks will be available at a later date.

This new process of issuing vouchers has replaced our regular safety check days, which are suspended due the COVID-19 pandemic.

This initiative is part of the Local Government Road Safety Program, funded by the NSW Government.
