Reminder: Pool & Spa Registration deadline extended

Due to the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the State Government has extended the deadline for the mandatory registration of private pools and spas.

Private pool and spa owners now have until 1 November 2020 to register their pool/spa with Council.

This has also pushed out the deadline for owners to lodge their first Certificate of Pool & Spa Barrier Compliance which is now due according to the below:

Pool/spa construction date Compliance certificate must be lodged by On or before 30 June 1994 1 November 2021 From 1 July 1994 until 30 April 2010 1 November 2022 From 1 May 2010 until 31 October 2020 1 November 2023

Council has received multiple reports from residents of unsolicited contact from swimming pool & spa inspection providers offering services related to pool/spa registration, inspections and related compliance matters.

Please note, Bayside City Council is not affiliated with any independent pool/spa inspection companies.

Any unsolicited contact, misrepresentation and/or misleading communication by a third party claiming to be affiliated with Bayside City Council should be reported to Council at building [at] bayside.vic.gov.au and where necessary to Consumer Affairs Victoria. 

At no time will Council provide your personal details to a third party.
