Council is exploring options for the creation of a co-working space in the Campbelltown CBD and wants to hear from the community about how they would use the space.
A survey is now open on Council’s website as part of a feasibility study into a co-working space.
The space could be used by small businesses to operate from or for hot desking by employees of larger companies.
Mayor of Campbelltown George Brticevic encouraged residents, particularly those who regularly commute long distances to work, to fill out the survey.
“We know that 60 per cent of our community travels outside of the area to work which means long travel times either by public transport or by cars, taking up valuable time that could otherwise be spent on other activities or with family,” Cr Brticevic said.
“One of the legacies of COVID-19 may be that more and more people do not return to fulltime hours in the office. A co-working space in our CBD could provide people with an office environment close to home,” he said.
“We want to hear from our workers and businesses as to how this space could best suit your needs so I encourage as many people as possible to fill out the survey.”
